Comedy groups are recognised for their finest acts or jokes, but things are different in the matter of AIB. The Mumbai-based comedy team has just landed itself in problem again. This time FIR in opposition to the group has been filed by Mumbai Police Cyber Cell on Friday after it tweeted a put up on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Yesterday, the group posted an image of PM Narendra Modi with a Snapchat dog filter. The picture was captioned #wanderlust that didn’t go well with some users on twitter

In reply to the same, a user, Reetesh Maheshwari, addressed to the Mumbai police handle, calling the meme an “obnoxious prank” which ought to invite an appropriate legal action.

Tanmay Bhat, a co-founder of AIB, backed the meme in his tweet complaining about what he called “the lack of rational reasoning.”

Further, he made a satirical tweet referring PM Modi’s tweet saying “We surely need more humour in public life.”

The FIR has been registered under section 500 (Defamation) of IPC and 67 IT Act (Punishment for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form).
