An Indian columnist, humorist, author and screenwriter, Taarak Mehta, who was also known for the popular tv series ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah‘, passed away at the age of 87.
As per the news, He died after prolonged illness.

Taarak Mehta got publicity from his first humorous column in Chitralekha in March 1971. He is best known for the column Duniya Ne Undha Chasma in the Gujarati language. He had translated and adapted several comedies in Gujarati.
In 2008, SAB TV started the famous show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah‘ that is based on his column and soon became the TRP show of the channel.
His death is a big loss to the country.
